Aine first came to Felda in 2008 as a member, where she found joy and peace in her regular swims. Over the years she became a familiar and comforting presence, and in January 2024 we were blessed when she officially joined our reception team. From the very first day, she brought with her an aura of calmness that could soften even the busiest of mornings. Her warmth, her kindness, and her quiet strength made everyone around her feel instantly at ease.

Aine had a beautiful and caring soul, paired with a tremendous zest for life. She shared her gifts with all of us—introducing Meditation and Sound Bath sessions to Felda, which quickly became beloved moments of reflection and stillness for many. She continued to nurture her passion for wellbeing through her studies in nutrition, always eager to support and uplift others.

She simply loved people, and people loved being in her company. Aine had a rare ability to make you feel seen, heard, and held—whether through a gentle smile, a thoughtful word, or her peaceful presence. Even when she fell ill earlier this year, she faced her illness with remarkable dignity, courage, and grace. Her strength during that time will remain an enduring testament to the spirit she carried.

Our hearts go out to all who loved her. We extend our sincere condolences to her husband Mark, her daughter Caoimhe, her step-family Naomi, Darryl, and Nadine, her brothers Brian and Fergal, her sister Úna, and her extended family and many dear friends.

Aine touched our lives in ways we will never forget. We will miss her deeply, but her kindness, compassion, and light will forever remain part of Felda and part of each of us.

Aine’s funeral will take place on Thursday 11th December at 2pm in St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardstown.
