We are delighted to have been selected as finalists in the Louth Business Awards in the Age Friendly Category. We are very proud to have been selected as we are very aware of the benefits of exercise as we get older and this is shown by the amount of classes we have for our older members. We have our Super Seniors Class on a Tuesday and Thursday morning which is 30 mins of gentle exercising while Monday to Friday we have Aqua every day and twice on a Thursday. We also offer a 55+ Yoga Class. Our members can also book in for an assessment where we will design a program specific for their needs and goals.
There are a lot of benefits to keeping ourselves physically active as we get older. This does not have to be strenuous exercise. Some of the health benefits include – improved blood pressure, decreased hip and vertebral fractures, improved quality of sleep, decreased risk of diabetes. It is important to talk to a health professional before starting a physical activity program to identify your limits.
