Our dear Friend and Colleague.
It is with heavy hearts that we remember our dear colleague and friend, Gary. Gary was a big part of our Felda family—an irreplaceable presence who has been with us from the very beginning. For 21 years, even before we first opened our doors, Gary was there, helping to build not just a business, but a community.
Although he might have come across as grumpy at times, Gary had a gift for connecting with people. He got on with everyone, bringing warmth, humour, and kindness into every room he entered. His quick wit could lift spirits on the toughest of days, and his caring nature meant he was always looking out for others. He was the kind of person you could rely on, someone who made the workplace feel lighter, friendlier, and better simply by being part of it.
Gary was passionate about Health and Fitness and provided our members with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Whether it was designing programs, giving advice or teaching Pilates you knew you were in expert hands with Gary. Gary loved training in the gym but also had a great love for getting out into nature and going for hikes. In May 2021 Gary done a 50k walk to help raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis.
Felda will never be the same again. His passing has left a space that cannot be filled—a big hole in our team, in our days, and in our hearts.
We want to thank everyone for their kind words and support since the sad news broke. It has meant more than we can say during this difficult time.
Our sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to Gary’s family, his Mam Patricia and Dad Mickey, his daughter Myla and her mum Jenna and Keelan, his brothers and sisters Adrian, Michael (Gary’s Twin), Lisa, Darren and Aoife and extended family and friends. We hope you can find comfort in knowing how deeply he was respected, appreciated, and loved by all of us here.
Gary, you will be truly missed, and your legacy will forever remain part of Felda. May you rest in peace.

Gary’s funeral will take place on Monday 8th at 1pm in St. Nicholas’ Church. As a mark of respect, Felda will be closed on Monday as we come together to say our final goodbyes to Gary. This time will allow our team to reflect, to support one another, and to begin to come to terms with the loss of our dear colleague and friend. Gary gave so much of himself to Felda over the years, and it feels only right that we pause to honour his memory, his loyalty, and the impact he had on all of us. We thank you for your understanding.
There is a book of condolences at reception for anyone who would like to pay tribute to Gary.
