Felda are delighted to announce that we are aiming to reopen on Monday July the 6th. We can appreciate that you have missed coming to the gym and we look forward to welcoming you back. We would like to thank you for your support down throughout the years and look forward to your continued support in the future. The way the world works now is a lot different from a few months ago and as a result we have implemented a number of procedures to ensure the health and safety of all our members and staff. Your health and safety are of paramount importance to us and we want to make sure that you feel comfortable and safe when you come to train. Below you can read how we are going to reopen and what policies we have put in place.
We have decided that we are going to open our facilities/ services in phases. There will be restrictions put in place but hopefully over time, and when it is deemed safe and permissible to do so under the guidance of our industry representatives, these can be relaxed and we can get back to operating as normal. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. Please do not come to Felda if you are feeling unwell or have a high temperature.
On opening we are only allowed 50 people in the facility at any one time. Therefore, we will be introducing a temporary booking system with set time slots throughout the day. You will need to download an app. to book your time slot. These time slots are 1 hour and 15 minutes long. You can only book 1 time slot per day. There will be a 15-minute gap between time slots to allow for cleaning and changeover of cardio equipment. Midway through the day we will have a 45 minute slot for cleaning. After this we will have a time slot for our more vulnerable members. You will not be allowed to enter Felda without a booking and your swipe card.
In relation to the changing rooms and shower facilities – these will be temporarily closed to gym users. We are asking everyone that is using the gym to arrive in their training gear with a towel and water. When you are finished your work out you should leave the facility.
Our swimming pool will reopen on Monday 13th July. Again, due to number restrictions this will be done through a booking system. Time slots are set throughout the day and are 45 minutes long – you can only book 1 time slot per day. You will be assigned a locker and shower number to use.
Our fitness classes will resume on Monday 20th July. There will be a scaled down version of the timetable to allow for cleaning between classes and for safe movement of people in and out of the studio. There will be a one-way system in and out of the studio. As per normal, you will need to book your place in the class. Stations will be set up for people and you will be assigned a station by numbers.

Covid-19 Compliance Training:
All our staff have been fully trained in Covid-19 compliance to ensure you have a safe environment when you return. They will monitor to make sure social distancing is being adhered to and that everyone is following hygiene procedures.
Entering and Exiting:
There will be a one-way system for entering and exiting the facilities as well as through the gym floor to get to different areas.
On entering you must use the sanitising station just inside the door. There will be more sanitising stations situated throughout the gym for you to use.
At reception, before swiping in there is a temperature check station which you must use every time before entering. This is both contactless and touchless. The device will talk you through the procedure. If your temperature is at the right levels, you are free to proceed into the gym. However, if your temperature is too high you will be refused entry. This is to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Our gym will be deep cleaned before we reopen. We have allowed a 15 min slot in between each session for cleaning and to change over the cardio equipment. Our staff will also be cleaning the equipment, surfaces, and touch points throughout the day. We also have a disinfectant fogging machine which will be used regularly throughout the day. We ask all members to clean any equipment they use ‘Before and After’ use. Reminder that midway through the day we will have a 45-minute slot for cleaning. After this we will have a time slot for our more vulnerable members.
We have been busy reorganising our weights equipment to ensure safe social distancing. We will have every second piece of cardio equipment turned off and will rotate after every session.
We are honouring the time we have been closed to memberships. This will be done automatically. As we have limited numbers and facilities for the first few weeks, we will only activate the memberships of those who use the facility. From the 20th of July we will be activating all memberships. For those who were on Direct Debit memberships one of our team will be in contact with you over the coming days/ week.
